Account Manager – BC Interior (Kelowna-Based)

The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow our business in the BC Interior, based out of the Kelowna area. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll play a key role in driving sales, building relationships, and executing strategic initiatives with retailers in your territory.
What You’ll Do
- Develop & Grow Sales – Call on hardware, home improvement, and building material stores to drive sales, introduce new products, and maximize revenue for the manufacturers we represent.
- Expand Market Presence – Actively prospect and solicit new customers to expand our footprint in the region.
- Merchandising & Promotions – Set up and maintain engaging in-store displays, secure prime merchandising placements (endcaps, stack-outs, clip-strips), and help retailers maximize sales opportunities.
- Training & Product Demos – Conduct in-store product knowledge training sessions, “lunch and learns,” and hands-on demos to educate store staff and drive engagement.
- Collaborate with Leading Brands – Work directly with our represented manufacturers, both in the field and via virtual meetings, phone, and email.
- Represent King Marketing at Industry Events – Attend trade shows, dealer events, and customer meetings to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Relationship Building – Establish and maintain strong connections at all levels, from head office executives to store owners, managers, and front-line staff.
- Meet & Exceed Sales Goals – Consistently hit and surpass sales targets, driving revenue and market growth.
- Travel Within Territory – Spend up to 25% of the time traveling overnight to meet with customers.
- Stay Organized & Report Activity – Maintain accurate records of sales activities using our online reporting system.
